    (1) A website recommends that you should have 3 gallons of water for every inch of goldfish length in your tank.2

    (a) If you have one billion goldfish that are each 3 inches long, how many gallons of water would you need?

    (b) With its seven salt and freshwater aquariums, totaling 12.87 million gallons, the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom theme park is considered the world's largest aquarium. How many of these record-breaking aquariums would it take to house the same one billion goldfish that are each 3 inches long. Round your answer to the nearest aquarium.

    (2) The Jurassic period began approximately 200 million years ago. Approximately how many minutes have passed since the beginning of this period to the present day?

    (3) Janetta wishes to buy a commercial building to expand her business and needs to save for the down payment.

    (a) If she can save $4,000 a month, estimate how long it will take to save $2,000,000 if she does not earn interest on her savings. Assume (unrealistically) that the price of the building won’t change while she saves.

    (b) Calculate how long it will take to save $2,000,000 if she can save $4,000 a month.

    (c) Estimate how much she would need to save each month to realize her goal in 15 years.

    (d) Now calculate how much she would need to save each month to realize her goal in 15 years. Round to the nearest cent.

    (4) The main hall of Grand Central Station in New York City is approximately 210,000 square feet.
