      We will next learn a method for determining stability of equilibria which may be applied when stability information obtained from the linearization of the ODE is not sufficient for determining stability information for the nonlinear ODE. This is Lyapunov’s method (or Lyapunov’s second method, or the method of Lyapunov functions).
