This De Anza College ZTC Pathways Calculus textbook offers a clear and accessible introduction to limits, differentiation, and their applications, including tangent lines, implicit functions, and parametric curves. It is the first in a four-book series designed to build a strong conceptual foundation in calculus while connecting theory to real-world applications in fields such as physics, economics, and engineering.
This series builds upon the OpenStax Calculus foundation and acknowledges the contributions of Lake Tahoe Community College’s derivative version, incorporating videos and interactive elements. De Anza’s version enhances accessibility, adds multimedia resources, and emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving for both classroom and independent study.
