De Anza College is committed to expanding equitable access to learning through Open Educational Resources (OER). This resource has been developed to provide high-quality, openly licensed, and accessible instructional materials to support student success.

Every effort has been made to ensure that this resource meets high content standards, is accurate, and follows accessibility best practices at the time of publication. All textbooks and web versions of our learning materials follow accessible web design standards in line with the W3C-WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

To achieve this goal, the project has used the built-in LibreTexts Accessibility Checklist to assist authors in creating accessible content, and all materials have undergone two layers of accessibility review using WAVE by the project coordinator and instructional designers at De Anza College. In addition, the design of these resources reflects principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), providing multiple means of representation, engagement, and expression to better serve diverse learners. Our approach also affirms the values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) by ensuring that learning materials are respectful, culturally responsive, and free from unnecessary barriers.

While every effort is made to ensure inclusion, accuracy, and accessibility, occasional errors or issues may arise. Our mission is to make learning more inclusive and accessible. If you find any inaccuracies or have suggestions for improvement, please contact De Anza College’s ZTC Grants Coordinator, Shagun Kaur, so we can continue enhancing our resources for all learners.
