Before studying abstract group and ring structures, we establish the foundational properties of divisibility in \(\mathbb{Z}\). This section introduces key concepts from number theory, including divisibility, the division algorithm, the Euclidean algorithm, greatest common divisors, least common multiples, Bézout’s identity, Euler’s totient function, and linear congruences. We also review essential properties of integers and modular arithmetic.
